What is a Clinical Dental Technician?

Conventionally, dentures are provided by a dentist, taking impressions and sending them to a dental laboratory, where they make the new dentures without ever seeing the patient.

A Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) takes the impressions, hand makes the denture and fits the final appliance directly with the patient. Every stage of the denture manufacturing process is done by the Clinical Dental Technician. This should result in a better service and a better denture.
